A gift to your family, sparing them hard decisions at an emotional time.
Offer a gift of comfort and beauty to a family suffering from loss.
It is not always possible to pay respects in person, so we hope that this small token will help.
Valhalla is more than just a funeral home — we are an active component in the Birmingham area communities we serve. Throughout the year, our funeral home staff participates in special events, such as hospice walks, educational programs, military tributes, and so much more.
Annual Candlelight Memorial Service
4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015
Holidays force us to realize how much our lives have been changed by the loss of our loved one. Particularly in the first year, many bereaved are left with having to develop new holiday rituals and traditions. The first step in coping with grief at the holidays is to make specific plans to obtain the support that you need.
Please join us at 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 20, 2015 in our chapel for our Candlelight Memorial Service to honor and remember those who have passed away. The ceremony includes Scripture Reading, Prayer, a Litany of responsive readings, all conducted by the staff members of Valhalla Funeral Home and Cemetery.
Community Coat Drive
Sept. 1 - Nov. 1, 2015
Make a difference in the lives of Birmingham area children and adults in need by donating clean, gently-used coats and jackets in Valhalla's Community Coat Drive.
Pleasant Grove Nazarene Homeless Outreach Ministry will help coordinate our Community Coat Drive that will directly benefit the Firehouse Homeless Shelter.
All items may be dropped off between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. weekdays in our funeral home. To show our appreciation, all who donate in our Community Coat Drive will be entered for a chance to win a $100 Visa gift card. The drawing will take place on Nov. 2, 2015.
